Remote Learning at CCA
Last Thursday, our elementary school students successfully transitioned to remote learning. Students follow a daily schedule which allows our community to continue our standard of academic excellence. While online, students engage in live virtual lessons with their peers and have access to small group and one-on-one support with their teachers.

Third grade teachers met with students individually last week to review their math test and walk through each students' work . This one-on-one time really helped to affirm the understanding each student had of the concept. Teachers also used this time to check in with students and answer any questions.
Middle School students continue to follow their schedule of synchronous teaching five days a week. Mr. Gunning is pictured here utilizing a variety of technology tools to deliver a science lesson about Earth's atmosphere!

Teachers and staff collaborate daily and learn from each other as they work to create the best possible learning environment for our students. Remote learning will continue next Monday and Tuesday for all students before a well-deserved Thanksgiving break for all!

A Message from Our Board of Directors
CCA holds monthly Committee meetings, tailor-made to engage our CCA community in conversations about a whole variety of topics...
  • Do you have a great idea or a special skill?
  • Are you looking to offer your volunteer hours where you have a particular interest or expertise?
  • Would you enjoy an open discussion with members of the Parent Board, Administration, and CCA Community about an issue that's important to you?

We'd love to have you join us at a CCA Committee Meeting!  CCA Committee Meetings are the BEST way to participate in active discussions about the "big-picture" issues that are near-and-dear to your heart. In addition to Committee-level projects, the work done by CCA Committees refines and prepares those issues brought to the Board as formal Action Items. Parent volunteer hours are available for attending committee meetings, and for participating in committee work.

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate in Committee discussions!

Anyone interested in participating in Committee Meetings can refer to the CCA Master Calendar for dates and times, or click here for more information.

Embracing Life's Challenges: Turning 2020 losses into 2021 gains
December 1, 2020: 9:15 am - 11:15 am
Not all of 2020 was a bust even though the year might have felt that way; in fact, we learned more about ourselves following the shutdown of the world as we once knew it than we realize. No need to rehash the challenges of our changed world, specifically the hardships, the setbacks and the unknown rather let's focus on what we have learned about ourselves, our ability to overcome, our ability to accept and our ability to persevere...thus turning the losses to gains.
