National Board Meeting 2018
Team CISV Calgary is returning this evening from an inspiring long weekend in Fredericton, NB (in fact, we're currently sitting at the airport!).

In addition to the always-exciting Hockey Draft where we get our programme invitations, we completed board business and were busy learning through many great discussions and sessions on topics such as mental health, promoting our chapters, strategic planning, generational inclusion, gender inclusion and so much more. Chat with anyone you see in the photo below to get more details!
An emotional keynote presentation by new Canadian, Tareq Hadhad, of Peace by Chocolate was a Remembrance Day highlight for many.
A massive congratulations to our very own Laura Linnell who is returning from NBM as the recipient of CISV Canada's Brock Foster Award. This award is named after CISV Canada's first president, and to be eligible to receive the award, an individual must have been a member in good standing of CISV for a miniumum of 10 years and must have made significant and continuous volunteer contributions to his or her chapter. We are beyond thrilled that Laura has been recognized for her amazing contributions to CISV Calgary and CISV Canada.

Congratulations also go out to Ellie who is now CISV Canada's Senior National Junior Representative! We look forward to hearing about the projects that Ellie and her team will be working on this year!
