COUNCIL VOTING REPRESENTATIVES
Alan Clapp, Cam Thomas, and Rebecca Norman (Youth Member) have been elected as voting members for the Voyageur Council for the next year (August 2024 to July 2025). As voting representatives, we will be attending the Annual General Meeting of Scouts Canada November 15-17 in Ottawa representing the council. Along with other voting reps across the country, we will be voting on various items that come to the AGM for approval (reports, financial statements, appointment of auditors, etc.) and taking part in various meetings on the future of Scouting in Canada.
Voting representatives are not directly involved in policy making decisions with the Board of Governors nor are they involved in the overall management of Scouts Canada. However, they do have one very important additional role which was set up by the Board of Governors. They are meant to be a liaison between the ordinary members and members of the Board of Governors if there are any issues members of Voyageur Council would like brought to the Board’s attention. If you have any issues that you would like highlighted or that you are concerned about, please contact one of voting delegates and we will be pleased to discuss it further with you, and if applicable, the Board. You can reach out to any of us:
We look forward to hearing from you and welcome your input.
