From the Desk of Principal Shamas:

April 14, 2022

Dear St. Anne Catholic School Families:

Today was a beautiful retreat day to begin the Triduum. It was great to have so many parents join us for this special experience. Thank you to Deacon Ly Nguyen and Peter and Michael Ramirez for sharing your gifts with our students and staff. Thank you to Mrs. Parker and Mrs. Collins for all of your work preparing our 8th graders for the Shadow Stations of the Cross. The 8th graders’ presentation was moving and memorable. They truly exemplify our mission, called to holiness and proclaiming the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. Thank you to Mrs. Blackburn, Mrs. Tavares, the office team, and our parent volunteers for all of your work planning such a holy day.

Our Theatre Under the Stars Gala is next weekend! Planning has been underway since last summer and we are excited to make it to the big day. All are encouraged to register on the auction website so you can bid on our silent auction items and class projects. Those who will be joining us at Augusta Pines can also register prior to the event. The link to register is here. We will continue to sell raffle tickets up to 8pm the evening of the event - be sure to get some and have a chance to win a trip! Tickets are only $10 each. Raffle tickets can be purchased here.

Looking ahead to next week, we want to celebrate all of our volunteers. Please join us on Wednesday, April 20th after mass for our volunteer appreciation brunch. Our school is so special because of our amazing community and volunteers. We hope you are able to join us.

As Lent ends, we begin the Triduum in anticipation of Jesus’ resurrection on Easter.

Have a wonderful and blessed Easter!

Only by His Grace,

Kendall Shamas

School Advisory Board Invitation

Dear Parents and Friends of St. Anne:

At this time we are looking to add new members to our School Advisory Board.

In Catholic spirituality, discernment refers to reaching an understanding of a situation (or course of action) without the burden of subjective judgements, which involve emotions, desires and other human motivations. It is a process that attempts to grasp the will of God for one’s life – an inner search for an answer to the question of one’s perceived calling to service.

Parents or friends of the school who have an interest in participating in the discernment process please send an email to Tom Devore, our School Advisory Board president or email to Mrs. Shamas.  I
