Mabel's Labels

This year, more than ever before, labeling your child's items is critical. Labeling all of the items that come into the school helps to prevent the spread of germs by ensuring lookalike items do not get mixed up.

Visit Mabels Labels and select “Support a Fundraiser” to support Dogwood Elementary School PTO.

If you have any questions, please contact Tiffany Smith, PTO Ways and Means Chairperson.

Red Ribbon Week

Dogwood Elementary School will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week during the week of October 26th-30th.   Red Ribbon Week is a nation-wide celebration that raises public awareness about the importance of drug prevention and encourages students to take a stand through a personal commitment to make healthy choices.  To ensure the success of this week, we encourage you to reinforce, at home, the importance of the Red Ribbon message.  Please help your child participate according to the following theme days.  In addition, there is an optional school wide poster contest.

The theme is “I choose to be drug free because…….”

  1. May be no smaller than 8” x 11” and no larger than 9” x 12”
  2. May use copy paper of any color, construction paper, or poster board
  3. May be created with crayon, markers, paint (watercolor, oil, acrylic) only
  4. Write name and grade on the back of the poster
  5. 1st and 2nd place prizes will be given for each grade level
  6. Posters must be turned in to Mrs. Fitchpatric’s mailbox in the teacher’s workroom by 9:00am Friday, October 30th
  7. Winners will be announced Wednesday, November 4th

Please feel free to contact Mrs. Fitchpatric or Mrs. Adkinson any time if you have any questions.

A 1/4 page fifth grade ad or a 1/2 page business ad are $25. The purchase deadline for ads is Friday, December 18th. Purchase of an ad does NOT mean you have purchased a yearbook. They are two separate purchases.

Because we are having events from a distance this year, we need your help to gather your best images for this year’s yearbook. Please email your top 10 images to the yearbook staff. Please be sure to include the grade, teacher's name, and event in the email.

Contact Annabella Brandon with any questions.
