Frequently Asked Questions about PTO Membership:

I joined last year, do I need to join again?

Yes, we ask our families to join the PTO each year. Your annual dues support the PTO events and activities all year long.

I get the Dolphin Digest each week, so does that mean I am a PTO member?

No, anyone can subscribe to the Dolphin Digest. The PTO wants everyone to have access to information. Your annual PTO dues do help cover the cost of our Constant Contact email service. To be a PTO member, please follow the link above and join the PTO.

What benefit do I get for joining the PTO?

In addition to supporting our fantastic Dogwood students, teachers, and community, PTO members receive access to the online PTO Member Directory through Membership Toolkit. Members can access the directory on the Membership Toolkit webpage or through the Membership Toolkit app. After you join, download the Membership Toolkit app and log in. In the app, you can search for names, filter by class, touch to call or text, pull up maps, and add contacts to your phone. You will love it!!

Don't forget to download the Membership Toolkit App on Apple or Google to your smart phone!

Please contact our Membership Chairperson, Jamie Bialowitz, with any questions.

DOGWOOD ANNOUNCEMENTS

Dogwood Fun Run

Boosterthon-4.png

Our Dogwood Fun Run Program kicked off this week, and we are thrilled about this year’s program! We’ve asked the fundraising experts at Booster to power our Fun Run program, making our fundraising simpler, more profitable, and more FUN. Our Dogwood Fun Run Program includes EVERY student in a fun, fitness event that focuses on character while helping our school raise some much-needed funds. As you can imagine, our fundraiser will look a little different this year due to the current health situation. The kick off will be virtual, as will our daily updates for students. The Fun Run will have a course per homeroom to allow for social distancing and safety.

This year, our entire school is raising funds for Outdoor Updates. We are hoping to include additional funding for the outdoor classroom design, a covering for our car rider line, and playground additions. Our goal is to raise $30,000 and we are inviting YOU to help!

Here’s how you can support Dogwood:

  • Register your student on FUNRUN.COM by searching “Dogwood Fun Run” Then, use FUNRUN.COM to log donations for your student(s).
  • Reach out to family and friends by SHARING your Student’s Pledge Link. With FUNRUN.COM's smart sharing tools, reaching out to sponsors is easier than ever. The easiest way to get donations is to simply click the Facebook share button on your student’s pledge page. Plus, with a few clicks you can create a custom Student Star Video to share on social media. You can also use the Easy Emailer to connect with friends and family. As you gather donations, be sure to record each sponsor’s e-mail address so they have the opportunity to easily pay for your student’s pledge online via credit card.
  • Ask your child about the Sports City Now Character Lesson of the Day! It’s a fitness theme all about inspiring students to be active and activate their character. Students will travel the country learning how to live and play with more character from REAL kid-athletes. Our dynamic, documentary-style videos will teach your students about Teamwork, Care, Courage, Grit, and Celebration. Join along by watching the fun character videos with your student(s) on FUNRUN.COM.

Thank you for supporting our school! We can’t wait for our Fun Run happening Thursday, September 17! More details to come!!
