November 2020
EFCA West District Conference

Our District Conference is still on the calendar. We're all in need of a time away from the Covid-19 routine to gather together as leaders and members of EFCA West churches to celebrate, collaborate, learn and look to the future together.

Please mark these dates on your calendar and let other leaders in your congregation know as well.

We are excited to introduce two new Ministry Licenses:

The Ministry License – Expedited is available to Sr./Lead pastors who have been in EFCA ministry 10+ years and will be offered until November 1, 2022.

The Ministry License – Five-Year Non-Renewable is available to Sr./Lead pastors who have been in EFCA ministry less than 10 years. This Ministry License is non-renewable and expires at the end of the fifth year. Once received, the pastor is encouraged to pursue further EFCA credentialing (Ministry License – Five-Year Renewable, Certificate of Christian Ministry, or Certificate of Ordination).

Immigrant Hope Santa Barbara has been highlighted by a local newspaper as "Doing God's Work" by helping immigrants find legal pathways to citizenship. They have served their community for the last six years and have offered low-cost legal advise and services to nearly 1,300 people. One of their own Karla Can recently obtained her DOJ accreditation allowing her to represent individuals before an immigration judge. "I'm just very, very grateful to work with our clients, and to see their faces and their reactions when we find solution for them is amazing," she said.
