CDA Support Work Session
 
Do you or your staff need support completing the CDA? The ELRC is now offering quarterly CDA support for candidates looking to complete their portfolio or with next steps after completing course work.
 
Types of support available:
  • Portfolio assistance
  • CDA Council application
  • PD Registry Voucher
  • Renewal assistance
  • PDO Support
 
All levels of CDA and Renewal Candidates welcome!

Teacher Boot Camp Community of Practice

Are you a new or beginning teacher? Do you feel you could use more support in your day-to-day classroom responsibilities?

The Coaches in ELRC Regions 8, 9 & 10 have created a FREE 5-week Boot Camp to teach you everything you need to know! The series is designed as a hybrid model, some sessions live and some recorded, to accommodate teachers in their classrooms. Attendance, participation and homework is required to receive 2 PQAS hours per session for a total of 10 PQAS hours.

Family/Group Boot Camp Community of Practice
 
ELRCs 8, 9 & 10 are holding their second Family/Group Boot Camp series in May. This 5 week, 10 hour series was specifically designed to support new Family or Group providers. Please see the attached flyer for information and how to register. The link to the Registration Form is on the flyer.

PA Lead-Free Promise Project

The PA Lead-Free Promise Project has created an easy-to-use Parent Toolkit to assist parents find services for a child who tests positive for lead. The Toolkit walks parents through six steps to help their child get healthier through 67 county specific downloadable PDF’s – one for each Pennsylvania county. The guide provides detailed contact information for: care managers at health insurance plans; companies that test homes for lead paint (for FREE if the child has Medicaid); companies that remove lead paint – and for services like Early Intervention, WIC and Head Start.  

Click here to check out the Parent Resource Toolkit on the Lead-Free Promise Project website. The Toolkit also provides information to connect families with financial hardship to FREE home lead paint removal programs in 22 counties – and to other lead paint removal companies for higher-income families that do not qualify. Please share this resource with the families you work with and your community partners.
