Elms College welcomed acclaimed Vatican journalist and biographer Christopher White to campus on Thursday, March 19, for the Reverend Hugh Crean Distinguished Lecture and the Sister Mary Dooley Lecture.
In his talk, From Missionary Priest to Missionary Pope: Inside the Election of the First U.S. Pope, White offered a compelling inside look at the historic election of Pope Leo XIV, the first American pope, and reflected on what this milestone could mean for the future of the Catholic Church. Drawing on his firsthand experience covering the Vatican, White explored both the significance of the moment and the broader global impact of this new papacy.
The event brought the campus community together for an engaging discussion on faith, leadership, and history in the making.
The lecture recording is available at the link below.
