Tournament Team News

Both 5th Grade Tournament Teams, the Venom and the Vipers, were in action this weekend in the King of the Court Tournament. The Venom played 3 close battles, beating the Upper Perkiomen Tribe and the HVAA Wildcats on Saturday. Their exciting run ended on Sunday with a one point loss to Montgomery. Even though it ended their King of the Court run, it is a great start to the season ahead!!

The Vipers saw early action on Saturday morning, defeating Roslyn 48-29. Their next game will be Friday against Penn Valley. They will also be playing in the King of the Court Championship game Sunday at 12:50 at Competitive Edge!!!

4th Grade Girls

The 29ers D2 team had a great start to the season in the King of the Court tourney, defeating Roslyn (54-31) and a physical Doylestown (51-36) team on Saturday. All player scored in the first game! James McCollum led the offense in the later game (16 points), while Dylan Gustafson's stellar defense contained the D-town big man. Coaches are proud of Saturday's efforts and the team hopes to earn a spot in the championship game by beating HVAA on December 12. Go 29ers!

SHOUTOUT TO OUR SPONSORS

As always, we had tremendous local support for what we are trying to accomplish with our GVBL winter rec league. Without this assistance, there would be a financial shortfall for equipment, administration and facilities rental. GVBL would like to thank all those who have stepped up to support GVBL. In addition, as always please try and support these local businesses throughout the year, shopping and doing business right here at home.
