Volunteer of the month
Dennis Storey
Meet our Volunteer of the Month: Dennis Storey

I have been a volunteer at the Lewes Library for twelve years.

The experience has changed how I view the library in several ways. I now see the library has programs and lending materials that appeal to a wide range of interests and ages. In addition every time I volunteer I see the high level of professionalism and caring from the staff. No job is too big or small for this group and they couple that with good humor and kindness.

Over the years I have made many friends at the library. The work has spilled over into my personal life. The volunteers that I work with weekly share meals, laughs, and all our ups and downs. Life can be joyous and painful and this group is there for each other for all of it. Walking through these doors twelve years ago connected me to a welcoming community and for that I am grateful.
