Volunteer of the month
BarbN_April 2023
Meet our Volunteer of the Month: Barb Nonnemaker

I started volunteering in the Children’s Room, helping with shelving and maintaining the room, about 4 years ago. Then I added working in the main room about 1 year ago. I really enjoy spending time in both!

I have always loved books and libraries, and I enjoy the connection I have with other volunteers and the library staff.

My husband told me at first he assumed that with new technologies, checking out physical books and going to the library was an outdated practice. This is certainly not true about Lewes Public Library! Our library is a vibrant community center with so much to offer. It is a friendly and welcoming place to volunteer and visit, and I truly enjoy my Tuesday and Wednesday mornings here!
