We wrapped up several positive volunteer events at Camp Tamarancho last month including Good Turn Saturday, BALOO & IOLS Training sessions, and the Family Fiesta Wknd. At Camp Marin-Sierra, more than 25 volunteers spent the Memorial Day weekend prepping our diamond in the mountains, Camp Marin-Sierra for another busy season under alpine skies! Last Chance to Register for NYLT!

Council Roundtable --- 6:00pm Thursday, June 4

Unit leaders, don't forget to assign someone from your Pack, Troop or Crew to attend our final monthly Roundtable meeting of the season! This annual IN-PERSON gathering will start at 6:00pm OUTDOORS at Murray Lodge, Camp Tamarancho with the opening ceremony and brief announcements for all program volunteers. Enjoy a grilled dinner of hamburgers and hot dogs with all the fixins' followed by a brief meeting with Council President Kevin Krick, Council Commissioner Chris Cardinal, and Scout Executive Michael Dybeck reviewing all that is wonderful about Scouting in Marin!

Shortly after 7pm we will start the annual Camp Marin-Sierra Winter lottery for Ibach and Murray Lodge reservations. These weekends in the snow are the Your unit "draft pick" is determined by your collective roundtable attendance during the past year. You must be present to make a reservation for your unit! Plan ahead with your Scout families or coordinate with other units by using this seasonal calendar!

Good Turn for Tamarancho --- 9:00am Saturday, June 13

The Council Camping & Properties Committees invite your dedicated adult volunteers and Scouts BSA youth on Saturday, June 13 to join in giving back to our local Camp Tamarancho we all love and adore by "doing a good turn" with camp service projects. This month we will be focusing on getting the waterfront area ready for the season by cutting weeds and removing invasive scotch broom on the dam, and pulling the invasive parrotfeather from the swimming area. Please bring a swimsuit and towel if you plan to go in the lake! Please contact MJ by email to support this next service project day; lunch will be served!

Scout Night at San Rafael Pacifics Baseball --- Friday, June 19

You are invited to the San Rafael Pacifics baseball game for Marin Scout Night at 6pm, Friday, June 19 at Albert Field (A Street and Anderson Drive). Any scouts in uniform will be welcome to present the colors on the field during the National Anthem!!!

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the gate, at the link at the bottom of this email, the QR code attached or at the SanRafaelPacifics.com If you purchase the Fundraising tickets in advance, a portion of the proceeds will go to Marin Council.  


The evening will be a celebration of local baseball and Scouting. There will be on field activities between innings. So come on out and enjoy the fun with your friends and Scouting family. It's a great activity that's easy to do on a Friday night!

Webelos Woods Weekend --- September 5-6 at Marin-Sierra

Webelos Woods is for incoming Webelos I and II Scouts, and their parent or adult guardian/partner. This camp is an opportunity to work on Webelos-specific advancement

activities in the beautiful setting of Camp Marin-Sierra. Webelos are led and mentored by Marin Scouts BSA and Venturing BSA youth on staff. This is truly a chance for the younger Scouts to develop skills and sportsmanship in a fun environment, and be inspired by the promise of advancing to the next level of Scouting. This annual event is limited to just 64 Webelos youth and their adult partners. Register HERE now!

National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is a week-long leadership program designed to help Scouts build confidence, teamwork, and communication skills in a structured, supportive environment. The course is run like an ideal troop, giving Scouts hands-on leadership experience through guided activities and team challenges.

Dates: June 14–20, 2026

Location: Camp Tamarancho

Cost: $525 (camperships may be available)

Eligible Scouts must be at least 13 years old, hold First Class rank before the course begins, and obtain Scoutmaster approval to attend!
