Marine Travel expands to Ireland

Aer Lingus
Aer Lingus has announced plans to offer 20MB of free wifi to its Smart Fare transatlantic economy customers, and will also reintroduce complimentary refreshments for economy passengers. The introduction of the Airbus A321LR to the Aer Lingus fleet on both transatlantic and European routes, a move which will see fully flat business class seating offered on selected short-haul routes.
Aer Lingus unveiled its new logo and livery at an event in Dublin this month. CEO Sean Doyle spoke about the airline’s ambition to become a leading value carrier on transatlantic routes.

The Irish flag carrier last rebranded more than 20 years ago. The new livery, which debuted on an A330, features four shamrocks and a primarily white and teal colour scheme. ‘Aer Lingus’ is written in a new font, and the shamrock logo has been redesigned to feature heart-shaped leaves. The airline said the teal undercarriage would be instantly recognisable from the ground.
Airline Updates - Ireland
  • Cathay Pacific are the only carrier operating non-stop flights to Hong Kong, four times a week from Dublin
  • Aeroflot operate a daily evening flight directly from Dublin to Moscow
  • From March 31st 2019 Air Baltic will re-launch Riga to Dublin flights, a route the airline last operated in 2012.
  • Daily flights from Dublin to Doha are operated by Qatar Airways state of the art Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet.
  • Norwegian will launch its first Canadian transatlantic service with year-round, daily service from Hamilton - Toronto to Dublin on March 31, 2019.
Meet the Team
Ian has been part of the Marine Travel team since 2007. Taking 6 months out to travel to The Far East, Ian then assisted our new team in Manila for the first month of opening.

Coming from a corporate travel background Ian has gained excellent knowledge of marine fares, routes and ticketing and enjoys the challenges that marine travel can bring.
