Fatherhood/Motherhood is Sacred®

This 12-week program celebrates Native American fathers and mothers and was created to help parents and grandparents understand the importance of their role as caretakers and providers through the lens of Native American values. Cardio Drumming With Tribal

NHBP HHSD and Tribal Member Linda Rice are hosting virtual and in-person cardio Drumming sessions to keep you warm and in shape for the last stretch of winter. Classes will be livestreamed for those who can’t attend in person. If you would like to loan out cardio Drumming equipment to join the livestream, get ahold of us and we will set you up with equipment – note that equipment is limited. Join the Maternal Child Health Program for a Healthy Hearts playgroup. Enjoy some heart-themed activities, including making some tasty and heart-healthy food! MMIP T-Shirt Design Contest
NHBP, Pokagon and Match-E-Be-Nash-She Wish need your help to design the official shirt for the upcoming March for Missing and Murdered Indigenous People in downtown Grand Rapids on May 5 (more details to follow). Michigan Indian Legal Services Survey
Michigan Indian Legal Services is looking to involve more of the NHBP Community in its legal needs assessment survey. The MILS Board uses the results from the survey to determine the highest priorities regarding legal services for low-income Native Americans. Click here to take the survey.

Indefinitely Closed to Public
Out of an abundance of caution due to the ongoing pandemic, the NHBP Government Center is indefinitely closed to the public at this time. Tribal Members will need to make an appointment for any business that may require in-person meetings.

Free 'Vaccinated Native' T-Shirt
The NHBP HHSD has FREE “Vaccinated Native” T-shirts available for a limited time only! Sizes run from Adult X-Small to 3XL. Quantities are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

T-shirts can be picked up at either the Pine Creek or Grand Rapids Health Facilities, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. T-shirts will be located on a table in the waiting area.
