Worship and Respond in Gratitude
Presbytery Meeting – October 23-24, 2020
“Dismantling Structural Racism” is the second focus of the Matthew 25 vision, and will be the theme of the October 23-24, 2020 zoom meeting of the Presbytery of Arkansas. Judge Rev. Wendell Griffen, Pulaski County Circuit Judge and pastor of New Millennium Church in Little Rock, will be our featured speaker on Saturday morning and will lead worship on Friday evening. He will address issues of racial injustice and our call as God’s people.

In keeping with the theme of “Dismantling Structural Racism” the offering recipient of the Friday evening worship service will be the Community Family Enrichment Center of Arkadelphia. With strong ties to West End Presbyterian Church, the mission of the center is “to empower children and families to become self-sufficient in an ever-changing world regardless of race, creed, color or national origin.” Click Here to learn more about the Community Family Enrichment Center.

You may give your offering now by Clicking Here (presbytery meeting offering) to give on-line OR by mailing a check payable to the Presbytery of Arkansas with “Presbytery Offering” on the memo line to: The Presbytery of Arkansas, 9221 N. Rodney Parham, Little Rock, AR 72227.

The ability to give is open now, and will remain open until after the meeting.
Please consider giving your offering NOW, and please give generously!
Say "Hi" To Your Presbytery Friends
Since we’ll be meeting on-line again for the October 23-24 meeting of Presbytery – and all of us are really missing the opportunity to be together – we want to provide ways of getting to know one another that are unique to an on-line meeting.

We are asking that the pastor and/or a ruling elder of each congregation in the Presbytery, as well as chaplains and campus ministers, go out in front of your church, campus center, or other ministry – or if it’s raining go somewhere inside – and have someone use their cell phone to video you sharing greetings from (your name) at (the name of the church/organization and town). Please be brief! Each video needs to be 10 seconds or less to give us time to include everyone in the video.

We’ll splice all of the “hellos” together into one video so that we can see smiling faces from across the Presbytery! Please use This Google Drive Link to download your video and email to Brianne Christiansen at brianne@presbyark.org by October 7.
Youthquake: Sundays Together
Our first "Sundays Together" is THIS SUNDAY, October 4 from 5-6pm!  We'll gather together once a month on zoom to play games, explore our faith, and serve our communities. All youth 6th-12th and their supporting church adults are invited. You can join as a youth group or individually from your own home.

If you haven't registered yet, SIGN UP HERE by Friday, Oct 2 to receive the Zoom link for Sunday.
A Few Presbytery Notes
The presbyark.org website, due to being infected with a virus, is currently under reconstruction. You can still use the "Give Now" button, reference the calendar, and read articles, but don't download anything from it. We will let you know once the situation has been resolved and we thank you for your patience.

2020 Presbyterian Planning Calendars available at the Presbytery office, $10 each. Contact Stewart at 479-466-0195 or stewart@presbyark.org.

Please note that Pastor/Church Professionals meetings will fall oddly in October. The 1st & 3rd Fridays are Oct. 2nd and 16th and the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays are Oct. 14th and 28st. So mark them on you calendar now. Always at 10:00am and always on the presbytery zoom. Contact Julie at julietannerprice@gmail.com for more information.
