Theological Discussion Video/Curriculum
|
The video of the Theological Discussion from the 146th Meeting of the Presbytery of Arkansas which took place March 5-6, 2021 is now available. You are invited to watch it in its entirety, but you might also consider using it as a curriculum for a Sunday school class or other group.
There are 4 sections ranging from 15 to 22 minutes each. It is suggested that groups plan to use this over a three-to-four-week period. There are discussion questions for the first three presentations. In the fourth segment, Rev Phil Blackburn (First, Ft Smith), Carolyn Nash (Westover Hills, Little Rock), and Dr. Bobby Williamson each share about ministries they work with that deal with core issues causing systemic poverty. You might also consider following up your discussions by inviting one or more of the panelists to join you and continue the conversation.
Click here to access the links to the video and the discussion questions. They can also be found on the website homepage and under Helpful Resources/Matthew 25.

The Best – And Worst – Of Our 146th Stated Meeting Of The Presbytery Of Arkansas
|
Without a doubt our March 5-6, 2021 meeting of the Presbytery of Arkansas will go down as one of the best meetings we’ve ever had. In spite of not being able to get together for meals and fellowship we were able to visit together, as well as hear about ways that we can serve our Lord Jesus Christ by working in this broken world to eradicate systemic poverty. Click here to read about some of the highlights.

Youth A-Team announcements
|
-
Final "Sundays Together" - April 11, 5-6:30pm - For our last Sundays Together, we’re doing things a little differently. First, the event will be in two parts: 5-6pm and 6-6:30pm. 5-6 will look more “normal” (devotion, games, prizes, etc.) but will include a celebration of our seniors. 6-6:30 is reserved for games and ice cream. We are officially challenging the youth groups to a head-to-head on jackbox. Get ready!
-
Second, we want to celebrate the end of the year with a special package for all our participants. We want to send you and your students Presby T-shirts! To allow you time to gather shirt sizes and graduate names, we’re extending the registration deadline to March 24 (the Wednesday before Holy Week). Click here to register.

My name is Brianne Christiansen, and I am the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries for the Presbytery of Arkansas. I am passionate about helping young people to develop lives of deep faith and foster their Christian leadership skills. I believe that the best faith formation happens in the home and the home church, and so our Youth A-Team ministry is all about coming alongside congregations and building connections amongst the churches in the Presbytery.
