Summer sure has flown by! As we prepare our kids to go back to school, OHP will be providing several upcoming educational opportunities for us adults. Keep reading for information about our upcoming Historic Homeowner Fair and other events this fall.
This fall, I am especially excited for the first ever Living Heritage Symposium happening right here in San Antonio in September. Heritage experts from across the globe will be speaking at this event and providing their unique perspectives on intangible heritage. The symposium’s goal is to develop action steps and new tools for managing social and cultural heritage and sustainable urban development. The action steps will aid San Antonio, but they are also expected to have national impact as other cities face the same issues in cultural heritage preservation. Be sure to click on the flyer below, and check out other events happening in September as part of the World Heritage Festival.
I also want to take time to acknowledge the hardworking team at OHP. We are a small staff, and they have all worked very hard this summer to plan and execute a number of events that engage our historic homeowners and residents in San Antonio. Thank you, Team OHP!

New Historic Preservation Specialist
Huy Pham joins us from Muncie, Indiana where he spent six years at Ball State University to earn degrees in architecture, historic preservation, and communication studies.
