Ski Season is Coming……Are You Ready?

Hope everyone has had a great summer! Many of our summer/fall activities are great in preparation for ski season – cycling, running, walking, and even kayaking and swimming (think…. carrying our ski gear, need that upper body strength!). There’s more to be done, though, to enhance your days on the slopes, both for enjoyment and injury prevention. The program for the September meeting is a collection of short videos that demonstrate exercises that we can work on now, both at home and at our gyms. And, at the end, there is a surprise clip that will be sure to get us all motivated to prepare for ski season! Hope to see you all on September 10th !

Ski Season Trips!

Big Sky Trip!

February 8-15, 2025

If you are interested in this trip and need a ski pass, READ ON FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION DETAILS!

We are going to Big Sky, Montana, one of the 7 largest ski resorts in North America! Big Sky has 5800 acres of skiable terrain, 300 runs, 38 lifts, spans 4 mountains, and receives an average of 400 inches of snow annually. Big Sky has the largest vertical drop in Montana, 4350 ft, off of the Lone Peak tram and although some of the most extreme skiing can be found here, 2300 acres are dedicated to beginner and intermediate terrain. The quality of snow and enjoyable slopes for all abilities makes

this an exciting destination!

It's no surprise that this trip has become very popular! The trip is almost full, and spots are limited! If you are interested, contact trip leaders Cheryl DeDoes or Kathy Rubino ASAP (e-mails below).

$2150 is the estimated trip price for the land/air package. This package includes round trip airfare to Bozeman from Grand Rapids, transfers from/to Bozeman airport, accommodations at the Huntley Lodge in Big Sky Mountain Village (2 persons per hotel room with 2 queen beds) and daily breakfast.

An online portal will be available from ski.com in early September for direct payment to the travel agent.

Big Sky is an IKON pass resort, and if you purchased your 24/25 IKON pass you are all set for lifts! A couple of options are available for purchase of your ski pass, (IKON and other), however these will be subject to a price increase the first week of September. If you are interested in this trip and need a ski pass, ACT NOW!

Contact Kathy for further information at the email address below.
