TTC monthly news & updates
July 2018
President's Message
Raleigh IRONMAN is now behind us, but what an exciting weekend. We had 45+ club members who raced. TTC won our club division and we ended up staffing TWO bike aid stations. We raised $1000+ for the YMCA Scholarship Fund. We raised $1000 for the ALS Association and we had an amazing finish line party.

Here  is a link to the 70.3 story in pictures.

The June excitement does not end with IRONMAN. We have now completed the first session of our Beginners Training Program. Several of the participants, “graduated” by competing in their first sprint triathlon. Many of their fellow club members were present to cheer them on and help them celebrate at the finish line.

We also started a new fully supported ride series of 50 and 100 miles. These rides will have an aid station stocked with Base Performance products and ButtShield. The focus is to help members preparing for half and full iron distance races.

Looking forward to July, we have the Triangle Sprint Triathlon,   July 14th . The club will be out in full force, as we are supplying all the volunteers for the race. We will also have several club members racing and to make the day complete, we will have a post-race cookout at the race site.

Updates from T3 Tri Coaching
What a great day out at 3 Little Pigs Sprint as many of our first session beginner program athletes graduated with their first triathlon and TTC showed up in force to race and cheer. I was very proud to help them in their journey and to see them come across the finish line. Our second session beginner program is 5 weeks in and we hope many graduate at the Rex Wellness Wakefield Sprint triathlon in August or at another race this summer.

If you are looking for coaching help on a late season half or full IRONMAN race this year or if you want to get a head start into next year’s racing season, don’t under estimate how a coach can help you learn and progress. Learn more at www.t3tricoaching.com or give me a call. I look forward to seeing you out training and crossing the finish line.

If you are going to IRONMAN Maryland, let me know. I’ll be there helping IRONMAN with their beginner program “Commit to 140.6” as well as racing it representing TTC.
