How to spot a government impersonator scam

  • Scammers call, email, or text you for money or information. But the government won’t. Anyone who calls, emails, or texts, asking for money or personal information and claims to be from the government is a scammer. Hang up and don’t respond to messages.
  • Scammers tell you how to pay — usually by wiring money, cryptocurrency, or gift card. Nobody legit will ever tell you to pay in any of those ways. If they call, hang up the phone. If they email, text, or message you, don’t click on any links. It’s a scam.
  • Even if your caller ID says it’s from the government, it could be a scam. Caller ID can be faked. Even if it shows the government agency’s real phone number, or even if it says something like “Social Security Administration,” it could be anyone calling from anywhere in the world. Don’t trust it.

“The effect of the Yagyas is amazing—many I have talked to have noticed the same quality of experience as I have since they started.
“Life flows so much more softly, Support of Nature is constant in small and big ways, barriers are lifting.
“I feel at peace with everything.” — C.M.

The Maharishi National Yagya program offers everyone the opportunity to participate in very large Yagyas at a level that is comfortable for them, whatever that may be.

Although the National Yagyas were designed by Maharishi to uplift entire nations, the supporters of these Yagyas benefit, as well.

We are receiving so many reports of beautiful experiences, and so many stories of powerful support of Nature from participation in these massive Yagyas. To enjoy some of these experiences, visit the Experiences page on our web site. CLICK HERE

Transforming the Nation
Since the inception of the National Yagya program, we have seen hopeful signs—even breakthroughs—in national consciousness. But America is still very much in the midst of a major transformation—together with all our world family.

Our nation needs the powerful, continuing support of Natural Law from these big Yagyas to carry us through the turbulence that surrounds us.

The Sankalpa (intention) of the Yagya will be:
Coherence, peace, health, and prosperity
for the United States―and all of its people.

The Beatles — the trip to India that changed everything

The band’s exploration of Indian spirituality profoundly altered their music and put a powerful stamp on ’60s counterculture, as well as attitudes to the country itself Nirpal Dhaliwal MAY 31 2021
Their odyssey began in 1966 with a brief stopover in Delhi when returning to London from touring Japan and the Philippines. Harrison had insisted on the visit, having inherited a love of Indian music from his mother and incorporating the sitar into their recent song, “Norwegian Wood”. Their interest grew during a 1967 stay at a meditation retreat in north Wales, where, accompanied by Mick Jagger and Marianne Faithfull, they first met the Maharishi. They were there when their mentor and manager, Brian Epstein, died of an overdose in London: they were counselled in their grief by the Maharishi.

The next year brought that famous stay in Rishikesh, where they were joined in their daily meditations and discourses with their guru by the likes of Donovan, Mia Farrow and Mike Love of The Beach Boys.

The Beatles in India: ‘With their long hair and jokes, they blew our minds!’

Andrew Male 3 Jun 2021
Two new documentaries offer intriguing insights on how the Beatles’ 1967 escape to study transcendental meditation shaped the band and India, baffled the KGB – and saw Ringo survive on a diet of baked beans

In 1968, Paul Saltzman was a lost soul. The son of a Canadian TV weatherman, he was working as a sound engineer for the National Film Board of Canada in India when he received a “Dear John” letter from the woman he thought was going to be his wife. “I was devastated,” he says. “Then someone on the crew said: ‘Have you tried meditation for the heartbreak?’”

Saltzman went to see the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi – the founder of transcendental meditation – speak at New Delhi University. Emboldened by promises of “inner rejuvenation”, Saltzman then travelled to the International Academy of Meditation in Rishikesh. It was closed, due to the arrival of the Beatles.

“I didn’t even know the Beatles were in India,” Saltzman says. “I waited outside for eight days and then I was taken to a small room where I was taught transcendental meditation. What replaced the agony [of the breakup] was bliss.”

Saltzman is now 78, and his new film, Meeting the Beatles In India, is one of two forthcoming documentaries on the subject. With narration by Morgan Freeman, and contributions from director David Lynch and Beatles biographer Mark Lewisohn, it is expansive and grand, but at its heart is the smaller, affecting tale of Saltzman himself.

“You can tell the Beatles’ story so many different ways,” says Indian film director, Ajoy Bose, when I mention Saltzman’s story. “I always felt that the India part of the Beatles saga was bigger than Rishikesh.”

Bose’s film, The Beatles and India, maps a longer saga: a three-year journey, from when George first picked up a sitar on the set of Help!, via their brief sightseeing trip to Delhi in July 1966, to George’s friendship with sitar virtuoso Ravi Shankar and his recording of Wonderwall Music with classical Indian musicians in the HMV Bombay studios.

“For me, this isn’t a story about the Maharishi,” says Bose. “It’s about four working-class lads from Liverpool, who got deeply into Indian culture, when George was the de facto leader of the group.” Some got into it more deeply than others; worried about the spicy food, Ringo arrived with a suitcase full of tins of Heinz baked beans to sustain him.

Running parallel to that tale, Bose’s film tells the equally fascinating story of how and why India fell in love with the Beatles. “I discovered them when I was about 12 or 13,” says Bose. “I was from the English-speaking Bengali middle-classes, who had been into Elvis Presley, Jim Reeves and Doris Day, and who were naturally bi-cultural. PG Wodehouse was our sense of humour, and that’s why I think there was an immediate connection with the Beatles: the wit.

HEADLEY, Nellasue “Susie”
by Obits May 30, 2021

Susie was born in Los Angeles, California on March 6, 1931. She was 90 years old when she was called to heaven on May 11, 2021 in Longmont, Colorado. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by devoted and adoring family members.
It was during 1967 that Susie and Tom met Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, founder of the Transcendental Meditation (TM) Movement, and learned to meditate. Tom told Susie it was what he had been searching for all of his life. Before long, they became the beloved National Leaders of the TM Movement in the U.S.A., and the president and vice president of Maharishi’s World Plan Executive Council whose objective was to usher in the Age of Enlightenment, bringing heaven to earth through TM & the TM siddhis program. They travelled extensively throughout the world supporting Maharishi’s desire to spread the benefits of meditation to the West.

They were married for 52 years, until Tom passed in 2002.
