What Your Elimination Says About Your Health
Digestion is the body’s main line of defense; it supports immune function, emotional balance, and overall vitality. It can also be the root cause of many health issues. And what is the best way to know the overall state of your digestive tract? Your poop.
|
|
We had the opportunity to ask Integrative Neurologist and author of The Prime, Dr. Kulreet Chaudhary, our many questions about elimination and wellness.
Dr. Kulreet Chaudhary: What I actually love about this topic is that we are taking part of the taboo out of talking about poop. I suggested the title “What Your Poop Says About You.” I really want people to be more comfortable discussing and thinking about their bowel movements. Because even people that are married will talk about their finances and religion together, but they don’t have any inclination to talk about their partner’s elimination.
I’m not saying it is the first topic to discuss in a relationship, but it is something that should be on your health radar enough that you are aware of the by-products that your body is releasing, and we’ll explain why that is so important in this article.
vpk: Could you explain to us how and why elimination is a good measure for the overall digestive function?

Millions Qualify for Free Monthly Cell Phone Service. Are You One of Them?
Rich DeMuro and Nexstar Media Wire Oct 5, 2020
Lifeline started out as a way to offer low-income Americans a wired phone line at a steep discount, but in recent years, the focus has shifted to wireless service with phones and monthly service free.
|
|
TruConnect is the fourth largest Lifeline provider in the United States. It signs up customers and, in exchange, the government pays the company a stipend for managing the service.
Lifeline’s basic offering is an inexpensive Android phone along with talk and text minutes, plus 3 gigabytes of data each month. California is most generous with unlimited talk and text, while other states mostly give participants 1,000 talk and texts.
One stipulation is that customers have to use the phone at least once a month to keep the service active.
There are other companies doing this, too. They include Assurance Wireless, Q Link Wireless, and SafeLink Wireless. TruConnect says it differentiates itself by including extras and even manufacturing its own smartphones so it can better control the quality, performance and minimize bloatware.
“All of our products, including the hotspot, are 4G LTE network-compatible,” said Johnson, who said they run on T-Mobile’s network.

New: Very Special Maharishi eBook
|
Maharishi offered so many blessings to the world. Among those is his epic translation and commentary of the Bhagavad-Gita,
|
|
Maharishi’s work on the Gita provides a clear understanding of the timeless, supreme and practical Vedic wisdom of life. We wanted to offer to you a new eBook that would capture some flavor of the enormity of Maharishi’s work on the Gita.
This eBook has four sections. The first section is an audio excerpt from a lecture that Maharishi gave on the Bhagavad-Gita in 1964. The second section is a selection of verses from the Gita, along with beautiful pictures of Maharishi. The third section, near the end of the book, is a second audio excerpt from a 1965 lecture by Maharishi on the Gita. The final section, on the last page of the eBook, is an audio of the Maharishi Vedic Pandits reciting the second chapter, which Maharishi called "the soul of the Bhagavad-Gita".
To open the eBook, click here or on the picture above. We highly recommend viewing it on a computer with Google Chrome as this gives a very full and enjoyable experience. Please turn the pages slowly and wait for the audio bar to appear and begin on the selected pages that have audio on them. To view more eBooks please click here.

Dear Faculty and Staff,
This is a reminder to continue to log complaints you receive from students. All complaints, including complaints about faculty, grades, university services, housing, or food, should be logged. If you receive a complaint but aren't the person to resolve the issue, you're still the person responsible to record the complaint. After you record it, email the person who will help resolve the issue, including details about the complaint and letting him or her know that you submitted the complaint on the log.
This procedure for addressing complaints is important: it helps keep our attention on improving student satisfaction and retention. We're also required by both the Higher Learning Commission and the US Federal Government to maintain institutional records of student complaints.
The Complaints Log is HERE. Please bookmark and continue using it.

NEXT U.S. NATIONAL YAGYA℠ PERFORMANCE OCTOBER 16 – 26
SIGN UP BY OCTOBER 8
Nine Days of Mother Divine and Victory Day
|
Over the next few weeks, America will be making important decisions about its future.
We all deeply desire the most life-supporting, evolutionary, and peaceful direction for our nation. Ultimately, our nation’s fortune depends on the collective consciousness of its people, which determines the quality of governance we deserve.
It is essential, during this critical time, to do everything we can to increase coherence in national consciousness.
A Yagya for the Future of America
The next 11-day National Yagya for the U.S. will be performed during Navaratri, the Nine Days of Mother Divine. The Yagya will also include Vijaya Dashami, Victory Day.
Mother Divine represents the unbounded creativity and supreme nourishing quality of Nature—the fundamental aspects of Nature that bring support and success to every endeavor and every field of life. Victory Day is the culmination of the Nine Days and signifies the ultimate triumph of good in the world.
Our Maharishi Jyotish℠ Pandits emphasize that this is the most powerful period in the Vedic calendar to sponsor Yagyas—when the Laws of Nature are liveliest for fulfillment of desires in all areas.
Victory Day, October 25, is an exceptionally auspicious day to launch new endeavors and make resolutions for success—particularly when supported by participation in a Yagya.
The intention (Sankalpa) of the Yagya will be:
Coherence, harmony, and peace
for the United States―and all of its people.
Please CLICK NOW to offer your support at this particularly auspicious and crucial time.
And—if at all possible—commit to regular monthly sponsorship to participate in every National Yagya throughout the year. CLICK HERE
If you make a gift of $1,250 or more, you, your family, someone you designate, or your company will be acknowledged by name on each day of the Vedic performance.
May the full power of Nature’s Creative Intelligence guide and uplift America, and may Maharishi’s legacy of peace and enlightenment permanently bless the human race.
Jai Guru Dev

Higher States of Consciousness
An indicator of Cosmic Consciousness is a decrease in attachment to objects without feeling detached or uninterested in life.
|
|
The journey inward holds a distinguishable path to directly experience the unique, specific expression of pure awareness that is available inside every person. By exploring and experiencing the subtle state of awareness through Transcendental Meditation, we unlock access to higher states of consciousness and the associated physiological improvements. This essay will explain growth into higher states of consciousness and define characteristics that mark the fifth state, Cosmic Consciousness.
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi was a scholar and teacher devoted to learning the wisdom of integrated life advanced by the Vedic Ṛishis of ancient India. Maharishi introduced the Transcendental Meditation technique to the world and described seven stages of consciousness. The first three are experienced routinely and automatically: waking, dreaming, and sleeping. The subsequent stages are Transcendental Consciousness, Cosmic Consciousness, God Consciousness, and Unity Consciousness.
