Incorporate the Nitric Oxide Dump

January 05, 2018
By Dr. Mercola
STORY AT-A-GLANCE
  • The Nitric Oxide Dump workout stimulates your body’s release of nitric oxide (NO), improving your mitochondrial health, slowing down age-related muscle decline and boosting heart health
  • It involves just four movements — squats, alternating arm raises, non-jumping jacks and shoulder presses — which are done in repetitions of 10, with four sets each
  • The workout takes just three or four minutes and should be repeated three times a day, with a minimum of two hours between sessions

Do you have three or four minutes, one to three times a day, to devote to your health? By using that time to engage in one of the best high-intensity exercises out there — the Nitric Oxide Dump — you can improve your mitochondrial health, slowing down age-related muscle decline. The fact is, if you live in the U.S. and work full time, you sit an average of 13 hours a day, then sleep for an average of eight.1 This means you're sedentary 21 hours of the day!

Your body wasn't designed for that. It functions best when you're active more so than not, and by breaking up your day with bursts of activity, you can reap great rewards. Take nitric oxide (NO), a soluble gas stored in the lining of your blood vessels, called the endothelium. NO is produced inside your endothelial cells from the amino acid L-arginine, where it acts as an important signaling molecule throughout your body.

An Electromagnetic Health Crisis

Jayshree Pandyra, Founder of Risk Group & Host of Risk Roundup

September 9, 2019
If living beings have always been exposed to natural electromagnetic fields, and their bodies produce electric currents as well, why is there a growing concern about the human-made electromagnetic fields?

Introduction
Exposure to the electromagnetic field is not a new phenomenon for living beings. While living beings have always been exposed to natural electromagnetic fields, the growing sources, applications, and impact of human-made electric and magnetic fields (EMFs) on humans and the environment are creating more questions than answers.

This is extraordinarily complex to evaluate when all living beings are technically electromagnetic, and every thought and emotion is a measurable frequency as well. Moreover, even in the absence of external electric fields, there is a presence of tiny electrical currents in living beings due to the numerous chemical reactions that occur as part of the healthy living bodily functions. According to a WHO report, the heart is electrically active and nerves relay signals by transmitting electrical impulses. Furthermore, since all human body systems are regulated by EMF signals, it is essential to evaluate not only how the biologically active human-made electric and magnetic fields impact humans, but also how it impacts all living beings at the cellular level.

NEXT U.S. NATIONAL YAGYA PERFORMANCE MAY 12 – 22
SIGN UP BY MAY 6
Through Yagya everything is possible. Underline the words: Everything is possible. —Maharishi

The next USA National Yagya performance will incorporate—and gain strength from—Akshaya Tritiya, the Day of Auspicious Beginnings for Lasting Achievements, on May 14.

According to the Vedic texts, this was the day when the ancient Rishis performed the first Yagya in the history of humankind. This event also marks the beginning of a time when people lived happily in tune with Natural Law.

The special quality of this day is expressed in the word Akshaya, which means nondecaying or everlasting. Launching new endeavors and resolutions on this most auspicious day is said to bring long and lasting success, particularly when supported by a Yagya.

The Sankalpa (intention) of the Yagya will be:
Coherence, peace, health, and prosperity
for the United States―and all of its people.

Please CLICK NOW to join in.

Where We Meditate!
A few weeks ago we asked you to share photos of the places you meditate. Well, the response has been overwhelming! We love seeing your photos and reading about the benefits you gain from your daily practice.

We set up this Community of Meditators Gallery Wall with the first photos and descriptions that have come in – and we are continuing to add photos as we received them. But we really wanted you to see it now!

We hope you find it as inspiring as we do!

If you have not yet sent in your photo, please do! We would love to include you. And remember, the photo of your meditation place doesn’t have to be fancy. In fact, we aren’t looking for a picture of you personally meditating, we just want a picture of the spot where you sit. And along with a photo of your meditation place, please send a photo of yourself (selfie!) and a description of your experience with the meditation in simple and authentic words.

Please email your photos and write-up to mktadmin@davidlynchfoundation.org.

With best regards,

New eBook - Maharishi on Transforming Now into Eternity
During a course in Olympic Valley, California in 1968 a Course Participant asks Maharishi: "...your philosophy tells us what time is. But can you tell us what the 'moment' is, what 'now' is, and how we can find this in our own minds and perceptions?"
Maharishi gives such a beautiful answer to this question. When we created this audio eBook, we highlighted each of Maharishi’s expressions on a separate page to best appreciate the poetic profundity of his answer. We hope you will enjoy this different format, along with beautiful pictures of Maharishi.

To open the eBook, click here or on the picture above. We highly recommend viewing it on a computer with Google Chrome as this gives a very full and enjoyable experience. Please turn the pages slowly and wait for the audio bar to begin playing on the selected pages with audio. The first audio bar appears on page 4 after the title pages.

To view more eBooks, please click here. We kindly request not to repost this eBook or any of the pictures in the eBook on any social media platforms.

The Calm Ocean of Your Mind w/ Bob Roth

Also available on iHeartRadio and Spotify

Ali is pretty cynical when it comes to meditation. She’s convinced there is nothing that can possibly calm her busy mind. Then there’s Bob. Bob Roth is the transcendental meditation teacher to the stars having taught, among many others, Oprah Winfrey, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hanks and, yes, George Stephanopoulos. He breaks down with Ali the approach, value, and neuroscience of transcendental meditation, which he says is different from all the other kinds we’ve heard about.

Bob Roth is the author of the New York Times bestseller, “Strength in Stillness: The Power of Transcendental Meditation.” You may also know him from his SiriusXM radio show, “Success Without Stress” or his bite-sized talks on the podcast “Stay Calm with Bob Roth.”

Bob also serves as the CEO of the David Lynch Foundation, a nonprofit that provides Transcendental Meditation to at-risk populations.
New study shows Transcendental Meditation reduces teacher burnout and improves resilience
THIS GRAPH SHOWS SIGNIFICANT REDUCTIONS IN EMOTIONAL EXHAUSTION AND PERCEIVED STRESS FOR TEACHERS PRACTICING TM AS COMPARED TO CONTROLS OVER A FOUR MONTH PERIOD
NEWS RELEASE 4-MAR-2021
CENTER FOR WELLNESS AND ACHIEVEMENT IN EDUCATION

Teachers who participated in a meditation-based teacher development program utilizing the Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique for four months, had significant improvements in emotional exhaustion (the leading factor in burnout), resilience, perceived stress, fatigue, and depression according to a new randomized controlled trial published today in Frontiers in Education.

"Teachers are under high levels of stress as they are asked every day to support their students' learning amidst numerous challenges," said Laurent Valosek, lead author of the study and executive director of the Center for Wellness and Achievement in Education. "This study demonstrates the benefits of meditation for strengthening teachers' mental and physical health. There is a growing body of research on the harmful effects of burnout and the need for resilience. School districts are looking to give their teachers tools for reducing fatigue and emotional exhaustion to support a more effective, sustainable teaching experience and better student outcomes."

BURNOUT AFFECTS TEACHERS WORLDWIDE

Maharishi's nephew, Anand Srivastava, passes
We are deeply saddened on the untimely demise of Sh Anand ji popularly called as Bare Bhaiya. He single handedly built the Maharishi Ayurveda which rose to great peaks at National and International level. He was a great visionary and a passionate leader down to earth. There were thousands of employees under him he would remember the first name of all workers even of workers on shop floor. He was highly respected by all. We will miss him forever. Heartfelt condolences to the family.

Here is an article that was published in 2019 about him and how he launched Maharishi Ayurveda Products in 1986.
