Nexus Report: Study on the Synergies of the Water, Energy and Food Sectors in Sudan

In response to interest from the Sudanese Ministry of Water Resource, Electricity, and Irrigation, The Nexus Regional Dialogue Programme has recently developed and published their Nexus Assessment Study for Sudan in collaboration with the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD).

Three PhD opportunities: Decision-Driven Advances in Integrated Assessment Modeling of the Food-Energy-Water Nexus
Arizona State University, Tufts University, and the University of Maryland are each offering a PhD through NSF INFEWS/T1: Decision-Driven Advances in Integrated Assessment Modeling of the Food-Energy-Water Nexus. The Graduate Research Assistant Position will focus on developing innovative approaches to integrated planning of FEW systems in the context of major international sustainability challenges in Argentina and Uruguay.

The International Conference on desalination organized by the European Desalination Society (EDS) is to be held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria from 7 th to 11 th June 2020 at the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium.

Conference on Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems (WEFE) Nexus scientific advances in the Mediterranean region

With a focus on the Mediterranean, the Conference will look at the four aspects of the WEFE Nexus from different perspectives (e.g. through the eyes of economists, sociologists and end users) and canvass opinions on how to approach the cross-sectoral management of WEFE resources.
