Longer then a text but not a newsletter here is the latest goings-on at the Wing.
October General Meeting &
Heritage Speaker Series
Bill Casaas, 95 year old WWII Tank Destroyer crew member. Bill spoke with a clarity earned with decades of reflecting on his experiences. The Destroyers were largely ineffective against the superior German tanks, but proved extremely useful for dealing with pillboxes and other less hardened targets.

Tug Crew at Wings over Dallas
Currently our tug crew is in Dallas moving all of the aircraft for Wings over Dallas. This is the annual airshow put on by HQ. This is one of, if not the largest, Warbird airshows in the country with the number of bombers and fighters participating. This is the fifth year in a row our tug crew has been invited to work the show. 
Lineman's Rodeo
Unfortunately the weather kept us from providing the fly over for this year. The weather did not stop the lineman form competing for top prizes.
“ The Lineman’s Rodeo attracts the best linemen from around the world to compete in events based on traditional lineman tasks and skills. The first Lineman’s Rodeo was held in September 1984, with twelve participating teams from Kansas and Missouri. The Rodeo has grown to over 200 teams and 300 apprentices.”
Pumpkin Drop - Corrected TIME
The Missouri Wing’s 11 th Annual Pumpkin Drop is Saturday, October 26 th , Smartt Field. This is well worth the trip to St. Louis. WWII Bombing run around 12:00pm NOON. See the B-25 and TBM drop pumpkins on targets.
