AIAOC is a Chapter of The American Institute of Architects established in 1952. The chapter is one of the largest chapters in the State of California with over 800 members. Members adhere to a code of ethics and conduct to ensure the highest professional standards. The AIA provides members with tools and resources to assist them in their careers and business as well as engaging civic and government leaders, and the public to find solutions to pressing issues facing our communities, institutions, nation and world.
The Westside Urban Forum is the premier networking organization dedicated to the land-use dialogue impacting Los Angeles' Westside. The Westside Prize recognizes projects, programs, policies and academic studies that demonstrate excellence in city making and community building.
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) mission is to provide essential value to our members, their careers, our partners and the public by developing leadership, advancing technology, advocating lifelong learning and promoting the profession. The Metropolitan Los Angeles Branch of ASCE is dedicated to serving its more than 3,000 members locally. MLAB's membership is the largest local branch in the country and its breadth of engineering experience is demonstrated in the many volunteers who give their time and efforts to the betterment of the profession and the society.
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE ) is America's oldest national engineering society. The LA Section of ASCE consists of seven branches: Desert Area, Metropolitan Los Angeles, Orange County, San Bernardino/Riverside Counties, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara/Ventura Counties, and Southern San Joaquin. With approximately 8,000 members, the LA Section is one of the most active ASCE Sections in the United States. The Section presents awards each year to recognize local members for their contributions to the field of civil engineering.
