Economic Development Bottom line: 2020 Census = $$
Every government program makes an assumption about the population it serves or counts how many citizens will benefit. Decision-makers utilize population numbers to determine where to spend funding and to determine how much spending or appropriations are necessary. The area's economy, and ultimately the local business community, benefit from investments in the sectors like:

  • Transportation infrastructure, such as roads, railways, airports, a deep water port and recreation trails;
  • Rural health care programs;
  • Workforce development programming;
  • Education funding for K-12, trades, and secondary education;
  • Placemaking and economic development programs from the federal and state governments;

Being silent or invisible, no matter who you are, does not help our region or communities.
Stand up and be counted!
