Micro and Recreational Soccer in the Fall!
Registration is still open for both our Micro (U6-U7) and Recreational (U8-U18) soccer programs this fall. For Microsoccer, just click here to register!

Many of our Rec teams are already full, so contact [email protected] soon to see if a spot is still available for your player.
Select Soccer teams underway!
After a busy round of tryouts in the spring, we've formed eighteen Select teams across both genders and every age from U10 to U19. With nearly 250 kids in the program, we are well underway with training and competing in summer tournaments. Best of luck to all our players!
MIFC BU16-U19 Storm are champs at 6v6 tournament!
MIFC Storm (U16-U19 Boys) were the champs of a 6v6 soccer tournament in Tigard, Oregon last month, beating the North Kitsap Havoc by a score of 5-2 in the final. Says Coach Jenny Probert: “We were the only Recreational team in a field of Select and Premier teams, and it was ninety-seven degrees on turf for the final match, so absolutely brutal conditions. Couldn't be prouder!!! "
MIFC G'05 Crush victorious at Sounder FC Cup!
MIFC G’05 Crush were victorious in the Sounders FC Cup at Starfire last weekend. They defeated a strong Pacific FC team in the final. Both teams were tired after having played three games in the heat.  Pacific scored an early goal and controlled much of the first half. The second half was better with several chances from both teams but no goals until MIFC earned the equalizer with only two minutes left, leading to penalty kicks to determine the outcome and the trophy to MIFC. Says Coach Tom Hill: “It was such a great experience and confidence builder for the girls to be down to the last few minutes, come back, and win the tournament. I'm proud of how they played the entire way through.”
Become a Referee next month.
Our region is contending with a major shortage of soccer referees. Serving as a referee is a fantastic experience for teenagers and adults alike. Make good money while getting great exercise, building valuable skills, and serving a critical need for our soccer community. Kids as young as thirteen years old can officiate U8-U12 rec games this fall, so now is the time to get licensed!
Eastside Youth Soccer Association (EYSA) is sponsoring three clinics in the area during the month of August: http://www.eysareferees.org/display?action=display&key=56
Another great Summer Celebration!
Once again MIFC was a major sponsor of and participant in Mercer Island Summer Celebration. A fun group of coaches, parents, and players marched together in the parade, and we had our booth set up all weekend to provide information to anyone who came by for a visit. Thanks to all of the club members who made it possible.
