This Sunday

Come join us for worship this Sunday at 11:00 a.m. in English or 1:00 p.m. in Spanish, as we hear one of Jesus’ most well-known stories, the parable of the sower.  Jesus uses the analogy of a sower of seed to describe how the world will receive the good news of the risen Christ.  We hear how the sower spreads seed on many types of ground. Some types of ground accept the seed well, but most do not. We learn that sowing requires an abundance of seed, since much of the seed does not mature into a fruitful plant. This ratio of a large amount of seed yielding relatively few successful plants could discourage us.  However, Jesus promises us there will always be a successful harvest. We need to embrace that promise, and do our part by sowing the seed of the good news of Jesus Christ.

Ven a unirte a nosotros para el culto este domingo a las 11:00 h en inglés o a las 13:00 h en español, donde escucharemos una de las historias más conocidas de Jesús: la parábola del sembrador. Please pray for Kay McKenny’s mother Shirley Grubah, whose health has been declining for a quite a while. And please pray for Kay and family as they take care of Shirley.
