This Sunday

…is the Fourth Sunday of Easter, which is otherwise always known as Good Shepherd Sunday. This Sunday centers on the various passages from scripture that speak of God and God’s Son as a shepherd. So of course we will be reciting the 23^rd Psalm. From John chapter 10, we hear Jesus speak of himself as the Good Shepherd. He declares that his sheep know his voice, and follow him. But is it that simple? We will explore some of the other voices that are speaking to us, vying for our attention and our loyalty, masquerading as the voice of the Good Shepherd, and talk about how we distinguish the genuine voice of the Good Shepherd from the facsimiles. As always we worship in English at 11 a.m. and in Spanish at 1 p.m. Please join us!

Tents

We are also looking to borrow tents to provide cover for the various stations in the Marketplace for the Day Camp. If you have a large tent or dining fly that you would be willing to lend us for Day Camp, we promise we will take good care of them. Please speak either to Joe Murray or Pastor Mike about this. Tents will provide some protection from the sun for volunteers and children alike as well as lend to the look and feel of the Marketplace.
