Come join us for worship this Sunday at 11:00 a.m. in English or 1:00 p.m. in Spanish as we celebrate the feast of Pentecost, the coming of the Holy Spirit. God gave us the Holy Spirit to empower and guide the Church’s mission. This Sunday we will explore how the Holy Spirit allows us to overcome barriers which divide the body of the Church, specifically the language barrier. Filled with the Holy Spirit, Christ’s disciples were given the gift of speaking in languages not native to them. But perhaps even more importantly, the Holy Spirit allowed those listening to understand languages they did not speak. The Holy Spirit continues to empower us today. We at Amazing Grace are united as one in Christ in spite of our language and cultural differences, thanks to the gift of the Holy Spirit.
