Safety Q&A with VP John Buszek
|
|
John Buszek, AutonomouStuff's Vice President of Products and Services, recently sat down to discuss the significance of our
collaboration with TÜV SÜD
on a safety concept for the Lexus RX450h Automated Research Development Platform and how it can accelerate autonomous research in
Europe and beyond
.
In addition to expounding on a workplace culture that never considers
safety engineering
finished, John explained how the safety assessment benefits more than just our partners in Germany.
"
Now we can offer our European customers a by-wire solution that was
designed for integration
into autonomy systems that are in compliance with German regulations
," John said. "
Our partners in other regions in the world can also gain from the safety improvements we make from achieving compliance with many different road authorities
."
John laid out the key benefits of the safety concept for our partners:
- Researchers in regions following German regulations can more quickly and easily utilize our Lexus by-wire platform for road-approved autonomy systems.
- Our partners all over the world benefit from a by-wire safety design that considers the latest safety regulations from many global regions.
- Safety driver best practices are included in a training manual developed through the collaboration.
Be sure to read the rest of John's thoughts in the
Q&A blog post

We made it to one major show in early March before events all over the world were canceled or postponed due to health concerns. At Tech.AD Europe in Berlin, we talked about a
particularly important development
for that part of the world: our
collaboration with TÜV SÜD
on a safety concept for the Lexus RX450h Automated Research Development Platform.
In light of current travel and other restrictions, our next event will be virtual. A
webinar
with our new partner Qumulo is scheduled for April 16.
