Data Intelligence — Quantum Mobile Storage
|
|
Data Intelligence at AutonomouStuff encompasses an entire ecosystem expertly cultivated around the sensors, by-wire control systems and other hardware that direct autonomous vehicle operation. The research that drives development of those systems depends on data — and, critically, access to it. Data storage is central to the process. The second generation Quantum Mobile Storage features refinements that further separate it from other traditional IT storage options, making it even better suited to the unique requirements of autonomous vehicle testing.
Special promotional pricing improves its impact on budgets.
Second generation features include:
- DC power, no inverter necessary.
- space savings; width half that of the earlier model.
- easier offloading of sensor data from vehicles to shared storage in office or garage.
- instant data transfer to a new drive after previous drive fills.
- integration into an end-to-end Quantum solution — Quantum StorNext with FlexSync automatically begins ingesting data once the Quantum Mobile Storage magazine connects to storage, with customizable automated processes.

The recently
announced
partnership
between AutonomouStuff and Metamoto expands access to Simulation as a Service, Metamoto's cloud-based simulation platform. The subscription-based platform can be customized for multiple research and development objectives. Simulation delivers results faster than real-time testing, with easily repeatable test cases and safe replication of hazardous scenarios.
Metamoto can serve as:
- Designer — scenario creation with multiple sensors
- Director — scalable simulation, on demand
- Analyzer — results analysis, validation and debugging

The Data Intelligence initiative at AutonomouStuff has brought together top HD autonomy mapping providers to support the most demanding applications. The variety of mapping solutions has now expanded with the addition of atlatec's Mapping as a Service. These services create highly detailed, accurate, high-definition maps that can be tailored for specific projects. For example, software developed by atlatec computes trajectories, depth maps and orthophotos from imagery recorded during the mapping process. The software also can extract data such as lane markings and road signs to reconstruct virtual environments with variable attributes. Currently available maps from atlatec cover areas of Detroit, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
Mapping as a Service from atlatec features:
- Depth maps and orthophotos
- High-definition, accurate detail
- Extraction of data such as lane markings, utility poles

Meet the team: Cecille Martin
|
New faces are the norm at AutonomouStuff. We continue to quickly grow and evolve — and Cecille Martin is a new face who reflects that momentum in a significant way. After spending 19 years with Bosch and the last couple of years working concurrently part-time with a law firm in Peoria and Morton, Cecille became the first person from Hexagon Positioning Intelligence to work at AutonomouStuff headquarters in Morton. Cecille decided to join the Legal & Compliance Department at Hexagon PI (and AutonomouStuff) because of the potential in the roster of products and services.
Cecille put it this way:
"
I was motivated to join Hexagon PI/AutonomouStuff because of its remarkable product/service portfolio — those products and services will re-shape the world as we know it today.
"
We look forward to working with Cecille at AutonomouStuff!
