Safer autonomy with TÜV SÜD
|
|
AutonomouStuff recently undertook a months-long collaboration with
TÜV SÜD
to create a safety concept for the PACMod 3.0 drive-by-wire system.
We
invested in this process
, with safety at the forefront of our minds, to accelerate the road approval for our Lexus RX450h Automated Research Development Platform in Germany and throughout Europe.
"We targeted the highest government standard in designing our Lexus PACMod safety concept to be approved for public road testing in Germany," said AutonomouStuff founder and CEO Bobby Hambrick. "This achievement provides the market with a
safer drive-by-wire system
that could be approved for public road use around the world."
For our customers, this will:
- accelerate development of software, components and systems.
- reduce time spent seeking government approval for testing on public roads.
- provide safety protocols developed with expert input.
- remove logistical obstacles for transport of approved platforms.
We are extremely proud of this achievement by our engineering team. Learn more about the approval and read the full press release

What's happening at AutonomouStuff?
|

Meet the team: Joyce Murphy
|
|
Joyce Murphy joined the AutonomouStuff team in November 2018 as an operations associate, transferring her logistical skills to an
entirely new industry.
That meant adapting the way she tackled familiar challenges — sourcing ingredients, planning research and development — to a fresh role and a different scale.
"
My first week with AutonomouStuff I had to make a phone call to a customer in Australia; coming from the perishable food industry where our farthest delivery was across the country, this was
new and exciting
to me,"
Joyce said.
"It’s amazing to be able to work with brilliant people all over the world in this ever-evolving industry.
"
We are grateful for the resourcefulness of our employees, and the skills they adapt from other industries to
help solve the challenges
of autonomous research and development!

We closed out February with a trip to San Francisco for
#AVSV20
, the 10th Autonomous Vehicles conference. Along with networking opportunities and the chance to meet current and prospective partners, we had one of our platforms on hand to provide static demonstrations of the
state-of-the-art technology
we help develop and deliver every day.
