We've gone before to CES, the world's largest tech show. In fact, we've gone to the show for the last six years. But
never like this
.
You'll still find our work all over Las Vegas at our partners' booths, but for the first time ever, we're going to have a place to call home at a premier location in the Central Plaza.
One huge place.
We're joining other members of the
Hexagon family in a massive,
custom-designed pavilion to show the world the future of autonomy and so much more!
Come visit us — at CP 15 in the Las Vegas Convention Center's Central Plaza beginning Jan. 7 — for an experience unlike anything else at CES 2020. And
don't forget to sign up for a tour

Smart Autonomous Mobility
|
|
CES 2020 will witness the formal unveiling of Smart Autonomous Mobility solutions. SAM represents the synthesis of a multitude of sensors and systems that work independently and together to form the
backbone of autonomous operation
.
The idea is all encompassing, covering the
full spectrum of autonomy development,
from the research stage all the way through to full industry integration. Within this bold vision are core components such as HD map generation, simulation and advanced machine learning.
The concept builds on the strengths inherent in the full family of Hexagon companies and broadens the AutnomouStuff mission to
enable, accelerate and deploy the future of autonomy.
Smart Autonomous Mobility solutions center on three key elements:
- Enable: Fast-track R&D with hardware and software solutions to quickly enable autonomous driving systems across a variety of vehicle platforms and applications.
- Accelerate: Create a Smart Digital RealityTM – a seamless workflow between real-world and simulated environments to optimize, verify and validate billions of miles .
- Deploy: Quickly scale from prototype and R&D phases to production for any autonomous application.

Platform on display: Polaris GEM
|
|
Our electric Polaris GEM Automated Research Development Platform will take
center stage
at the Hexagon pavilion for CES 2020, featuring an array of sensors, software and systems available from or through AutonomouStuff and other Hexagon companies.
Stop by the pavilion to check out AI-based obstacle detection, the integration of systems from across Hexagon's many specialty fields and some of the latest
autonomy enabling technologies.

Demos and Smart Solutions galore
|
|
Hexagon companies will demonstrate the latest technological advances enabling the
future of autonomy
at CES 2020.
Ongoing demos and installations illustrating Smart Solutions at the Hexagon pavilion include:
- a virtual autonomous research platform tour, a 3D digital rendering of an autonomous research vehicle platform with detailed descriptions and illustrations of how individual components work and the system gets them to work together.
- Smart Digital Realities, the reality capture on which an autonomous future will be built. It includes complete digital replicas of physical spaces where all things, places and processes are machine-readable and subject to powerful AI algorithms.
- Smart Factories, a combination of technology, automation and algorithms that aims to make manufacturing spaces more efficient and intelligent.
- Collision Avoidance System, a mining product that promotes safety in part by monitoring operator fatigue and distraction to avoid injury and accidents.

Premier lidar partner: Velodyne
|
|
Joining us at CES 2020 this year is one of our long-time partners, Velodyne Lidar, with its latest introduction to the family of 360-degree spinning lidar sensors literally at the peak of our demonstration platform. The
Alpha Prime
sensor, in a metaphorical world, represents a different type of peak: an unmatched 128 channels with a range of up to 245 meters in compact form.
The Alpha Prime's specifications include:
- 360-degree horizontal field of view with 245m range.
- 40-degree vertical field (-25 to +15 degrees).
- vertical resolution of 0.11 degrees (non-linear).
- detection: 150m on 5% NIST and 220m on 10% NIST.
- dual return mode with 4.8 million points per second.
