A Message from President David Wisser

EPWPCOA leadership continues to monitor updates on COVID-19 while making decisions concerning upcoming EPWPCOA events. The Executive Committee is planning to meet in July to determine if the Association will move forward with the events scheduled for the remainder of the year. If we decide to cancel all events for the remainder of the year, the Association will still be in a strong financial position and will be looking forward to seeing our members in 2021.

Thank you for your understanding and patience throughout this uncertain time.
Wondrous Wednesday Webinars
EPWPCOA is continuing to serve and educate our members through offering weekly webinars! The "Wondrous Wednesday Webinar" series occurs every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. and features a participating preferred vendor. The webinars are free of charge to attend. There are no contact hours offered for attendance, but we can, upon request, send you an attendance certificate. The webinars may be applicable for PDHs, and the certificate can also be used for this purpose. Updates on the weekly webinars, registrations, and a link to the webinar recordings will be sent out every Thursday. All previous webinar sessions have been recorded and uploaded onto the EPWPCOA website, which can be found here
Virtual Plant Tour

EPWPCOA is gauging interest from our members to plan a Virtual Plant Tour using a GoPro, Drone, etc... If your plant is interested in discussing this opportunity, please get in contact with Marykay Steinman for more information.
2020 Membership Directory

This year, EPWPCOA is scheduled to publish our Membership Directory. We are looking for feedback from our membership on what to include in this edition! If you would like to see additional information included, have feedback on previous editions, or have general questions regarding the directory, please contact Cora Shenk
COVID-19 Resources
EPWPCOA aims to provide COVID-19 information to our members. Our website features links with the latest updates on the virus from the CDC, WHO, and state and local health officials. In addition to updates on the virus, we have links to helpful guides and forms for businesses.
We are here to support and educate our members and will continue to look for helpful resources. EPWPCOA would like to hear from you on how we can assist you.

For example, have you discovered a specific need for:

  • Educating yourself and your team on implementing safety precautions.
  • Handling personnel emergencies relating to shortages, injuries, illnesses.
  • Creating and documenting emergency plans.

Keep us informed on how we can assist you.
We would like to prepare a post-COVID newsletter documenting some of the stories, problems, solutions, and thoughts on what has transpired in our industry during this time.
Please send us your feedback on the following topics:

  • How has COVID-19 changed how you work and prepare for future events?
  • An issue you had to resolve.
  • The hardest part of the experience.
Activities for the Family

As we enter warmer weather and into the yellow and green phases of reopening, many of us will still be working remotely or with staggered work hours. WEF has posted several activities for children of all ages to engage in while they are at home! Check out these suggested activities to do with your families.
Please let us know if you have an idea for a story or something you would like to include in a newsletter.

Sincerely,
Eastern Pennsylvania Water Pollution Control Operators Association
