MARCH 2021
Greetings!
“When I heard these things, I sat down and wept…”

  • Three pregnant 15-year-old girls were counselled in one week in February. (Two of the babies’ fathers are adult men.)
  • Drug use is increasing among the Kidstop youth. They are missing the structure of meeting in a building. (We are meeting under a tree.)
  • 54 restraining orders were requested at our police station in one month due to domestic violence (in a community of about 3000).

Like Nehemiah when he heard of the destruction of the walls and gates in Jerusalem, we weep and mourn. Our petition before the Lord is that “His ear be attentive and His eyes open to hear the prayer of His servants who delight in revering His name.” (See Nehemiah chapters 1 and 2)
Kidstop under the tree.
The municipal offering.
He is working on our behalf behind the scenes! A few weeks ago we boldly delivered a letter to the local municipality asking for a property to use rent-free, and financial assistance for renovation. The next week the Municipal Manager and the Mayor called us requesting a meeting. There is a property that they are willing to allow us to use rent-free. What is the catch? It is in ruins, like the city of Jerusalem, and needs major renovation which they cannot afford (but are willing to contribute towards)!
Broken walls and trusses.
Your faithful prayer and support are bringing hope to these youth and their families as we serve on your behalf. Without you, Wesley-Ann would be seeking an abortion. Without you, lost young people would not have someone to speak the truth to them in love. Without you, there would be no hope for the children of victims of gender-based violence.

Thank you for the part you play through prayer and giving. Your partnership is making a difference in Calitzdorp!

“Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.” (Isaiah 58:12)
Living the adventure of serving the God who gives success,

P.S. $1,200 was raised in November and December towards God’s answer to a building for Kidstop. This will be applied to the renovations, but doesn’t come close to completing the task. If you want to give extra, please note the reason for your gift on the donation form, or when giving online.
