Carillon Concert Series
Saturdays | 10:00 AM

The Venice Institute for Performing Arts is thrilled to once again partner with the Venice Carillon Foundation to resume regular live musical performances on the four-ton, 48-bell Andrew W. Crawford Memorial Carillon, located on the terrace in front of the Venice Performing Arts Center at 1 Indian Avenue in Venice.

These FREE recitals include music from various genres, including popular, light classical, folk, and show tunes. There are two great options for safely enjoying these concerts and our beautiful Venice weather:

  • Listen, safely-distanced, from your car in the adjoining parking lot. (Enter between Milan Avenue and Indian Avenue, one block east of US41.)
  • Bring a chair and sit in front of the carillon--just remember you must wear a mask and following social distancing, per the Sarasota Board of Education COVID guidelines.

The recitals are free of charge, however, contributions are greatly appreciated!

During this webinar, we will discuss the importance of building a personal and professional network, how diversifying your own personal “Board of Directors” offers a range of benefits, from helping you gain perspective to having an advocate in and out of the workplace.

Lord-Higel House Update
Due to increased costs resulting from the impact of COVID-19 and a water intrusion issue on the second floor, Venice Heritage, Inc. is seeking additional donations to complete the restoration of the Lord-Higel House. This historic Venice structure was originally built in 1896 and was moved to its current location behind Venice City Hall, at 409 Granada Ave., to be saved and restored.

The Lord-Higel House is the second oldest home in Sarasota County. Venice Heritage, a local nonprofit organization, has been raising funds for the restoration of this city-owned building. Upon completion, it is intended to have exhibits on the first floor documenting early settlers in the area.
