A Message from Kara Morgan,
CEO of Venice MainStreet

Happy New Year and best wishes for you and your family in 2021. Despite the challenges we all faced in 2020, Venice MainStreet saw many encouraging signs of a fresh start for 2021. We are hopeful that through growing widespread distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine we will see an end to the global pandemic. Locally, our beautiful city on the gulf has come together to continue beautification efforts, historic preservation projects, and innovative economic growth.

Venice MainStreet wants to thank all of our partners, volunteers, and Board of Directors for their support and hard work during many difficult months. I would also like to thank the staff at the Venice MainStreet office for their talent and professionalism this year. I applaud each of you.

It is through the combined efforts of all that Venice MainStreet continues to succeed, as a local nonprofit organization, and fulfill our mission to the community as a driver of economic success for Venice. I look forward to many projects and successes in 2021 and I hope to see you all "on the avenues!"

Sincerely,
Kara Morgan

New KMI Exhibit Opens
at Historic San Marco
Visitors to the historic San Marco on Tampa Avenue can now enjoy a new exhibit honoring the legacy of the Kentucky Military Institute (KMI) in Venice. Funded by the KMI Alumni Association, in partnership with the Venice Centre Association and its collection, the exhibit includes memorabilia, photographs and a documentary on the fascinating history of the military school in Venice from 1933 to 1970.

While you are at the San Marco, you can also explore the 15+ varied businesses located in this unique, downtown Venice building. Among them include salons, spas, a barbershop, real estate and property rental companies, chiropractor, retailers such as the new Tri-Healthy CBD store, a restaurant and more. If you haven't discovered the San Marco yet or been in it recently, you are in for a treat!
