Running USA Visits QCM Office

The executive director of Running USA (RUSA), the running industry's premier trade organization, made a visit to the TBK Bank Quad Cities Marathon headquarters in July.

Shawn Sullivan took the opportunity to tour the race offices with Race Director Joe Moreno. Shawn, a former D1 college runner, swapped stories with Joe and was impressed by the many nostalgic pieces of running history displayed throughout the building.

As the voice of endurance running, Running USA is committed to the growth and success of the running industry. As a long time member organization, our organization relies on RUSA for connections, support and education to continue to improve the participant experience.

We are grateful Shawn took the time to visit us and learn more about our great community and our commitment to providing an exceptional race experience so that he may share the news across the industry.

Running Wild 10K Great Option on QCM Weekend

The Running Wild 10K is a unique, point-to-point, flexible start-time race held as part of the TBK Bank Quad Cities Marathon weekend.

Participants are transported via complimentary MeroLink shuttle buses to the starting line on the Rock Island Arsenal to start their race anytime between 7:15 a.m. and 9:15 a.m.

This race route traces the final 6.2 miles of the marathon through the historic Arsenal Island, passing a beautiful golf course, displays of military equipment, and many other sights along the way before finishing in downtown Moline, IL.

Race times are recorded from start to finish time, regardless of when you begin, allowing you to sleep in or start early. This Running Wild 10K is a not-to-miss event for anyone wanting a fast, flat 10K distance with a flexible start.

Have a friend or family member traveling with you to cheer you in the marathon or half marathon? The Running Wild 10K is a perfect opportunity for them to race and still be ready to cheer you on as you complete the half or the full. And, they can join you for the legendary post-race party.

CARBS Fuel Debuts as On-Course Fuel for 2026

TBK Bank Quad Cities Marathon participants will be energized by CARBS Fuel on the race course on September 27th. Look for the 25g of carbohydrates packets at fueling stations.

CARBS Fuel has no preservatives, no gelling agents and no added flavors. It's neutral, bright taste and thin consistency reduces flavor fatigue and eases consumption during longer events.

Pick up CARBS Fuel for your training runs at the Davenport Fleet Feet and Running Wild stores.

Mile Marker Sponsor Opportunity

As a mile marker sponsor, your logo is prominently displayed on a mile marker along the race route, putting your brand front and center on race day and demonstrating your commitment to health, fitness, and the Quad Cities community. Thousands of people, both spectators and race participants, will see your mile marker!

Sponsoring a mile marker is an affordable way to make a meaningful impact. The cost is flexible—whatever you feel is appropriate, with a minimum contribution of $100 per mile marker. Your support helps ensure the success of this premier event, which brings together runners of all levels and generates a positive economic and social impact in our area.
