The 2025 NECA Legislative Conference was held on Monday, April 28 to Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at the Salamander Hotel in Washington, DC. This conference is the premier event for electrical contractors to hear about the top legislative issues affecting the industry and meet the leaders who are working to provide real solutions. This year’s event had a large contingency (9) from the Chapter, as well as the state (23). Illinois had the largest contingent; there were over180 conference attendees.

Local Union #134 IBEW Helping Hand Fund – Fundraiser

The fund was created to aid members of Local Union #134 IBEW who are in need of assistance. Through all of the generous donations that the Helping Hand Fund has received, over 500 Local Union #134 IBEW members have received various forms of assistance. Join the Helping Hand Fund by assisting with this upcoming Fundraiser.

As part of Construction Safety Week 2025 and the OSHA National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction (May 5–9), the Safety Alliance—comprised of TAUC, SMACNA, MCAA, and NECA—has developed a new set of five safety videos.
NECA hopes these videos serve as a vital member resource during your own company's Construction Safety Week activities. These videos can be used by employers during various activities including toolbox talks, safety meetings, and stand-down events to reinforce critical safety practices on the jobsite.
Remember, safety is a shared responsibility! Every employer and employee in our industry shares the same goal: ensuring that everyone returns home safely to their families and loved ones at the end of each day. Stay Safe!
