Financial Maturity Model Research Request

ELECTRI needs your help for the Financial Maturity Model research. This study was funded to help electrical contractors better understand, measure, and manage their financial performance through developing an interactive financial dashboard that will give contractors greater visibility into their business and project health.

Because electrical contractors use a variety of accounting systems, we want this research to be inclusive and representative of the entire industry. We are therefore inviting interested contractors to participate in this study.

Small focus groups will be formed, with each group consisting of contractors who use the same accounting system. Within each group, we aim to include contractors of different company sizes to ensure diverse perspectives. Focus groups are expected to meet once per month for approximately four months, and interim deliverables will be shared by email to collect feedback and validation between meetings.

Your company’s data will be treated with the utmost confidentiality, and you will choose what to share.

Our goal is to develop dashboards that are both usable and practical, supported by clear guidelines that benefit the entire electrical contracting industry.

If you are interested in contributing to this important effort, please complete this nomination form by December 5 to indicate your interest in participating in focus groups beginning in early December.  Sign up here

ELECTRI Releases New Research: Examining the 4×10 Work Week – Benefits, Challenges, and Data Insights

We’re excited to share ELECTRI’s latest interactive study, led by researcher Hala Nassereddine (NCM Consulting LLC). This project explores the real-world impacts of implementing a 4×10 work schedule across electrical contracting organizations.

Designed to help contractors evaluate, pilot, or expand 4×10 options using evidence-based insights, the study looks beyond assumptions. Instead, it captures perspectives from across the industry through three targeted surveys:

• Field workers and field leaders

• Office staff and prefab technicians

• Company leaders

Because a 4×10 schedule affects every part of a business, this research provides a comprehensive look at how it can influence workforce satisfaction, productivity, project performance, and organizational strategy. The Executive Summary is attached for your convenience. You can also access the product on the website here.

Construction Industry Alliance for Suicide Prevention

It is an unfortunate fact that construction has the highest rate of suicide of any industry in America. We lose about 53 out of every 100,000 members of our industry EVERY YEAR to suicide. We are four times the average of other industries. We have a crisis in construction and we need to do something about it. You can visit the Construction Industry Alliance for Suicide Prevention website and learn more. We urge all to take the pledge to STAND UP for suicide prevention and address it as a health and safety priority.
