WELCOME HOME CELEBRATION FOR WWII, KOREAN WAR

and VIETNAM WAR VETERANS

Honor Flight Chicago is excited to recognize 115+ World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War veterans with a day of honor and thanks that many of them never received. Our goal is simple: Honor Flight Chicago wants to show these men and women that we haven’t forgotten their service and the sacrifices they made for the freedoms we have today.

In order to do that, THEY NEED YOUR HELP.

Their day of honor culminates with a Welcome Home celebration for these senior war veterans at Midway Airport. Active duty military personnel, bagpipers, color guards and more will greet the veterans at the gate and escort them to Baggage Claim (Lower Level), where they want you and your loved ones to be waiting. They encourage your family to be festive and create with signs to hold, t‐shirts, balloons to hold, etc. – make this Welcome Home a fitting tribute to your loved one’s service!

Currently, the Honor Flight Chicago's Welcome Home attendance policy is the more the merrier! However, in partnership with their friends at Midway Airport, they ask that you inform your ambassador if you plan to have 10 or more family members and friends attend to help them manage crowd size and location.

Here are more specifics about the Welcome Home celebration:

WHEN: 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, Southwest Charter Flight #8218.

Please arrive at Midway Airport by 7:45 p.m.

WHERE: Baggage Claim (Lower Level), South End at Midway Airport

PARKING INFO: Parking is at the Midway Airport parking garage.

NECA Convention & Trade Show

September 12 - 15, 2025 in Chicago!

The NECA Convention & Trade Show was held in Chicago on September 12 - 15, 2025. The Chapter had over 90 registrants for the Convention, along with numerous Trade Show only attendees. We are excited to announce that the ELECTRI Industry Benchmarking Tool is now live and ready for use. This tool was developed to help electrical contractors benchmark key performance metrics across the industry, and we’re asking for your support in getting it off the ground.

To build the live charts and dashboards, we need at least 100 participants. We hope you’ll take a few moments in the coming days to create your account and complete the surveys.

How to Create Your Account

2.Click “Get Started”

3.At the Login Page Select “Don’t have an account?”

4.Create a MyELECTRI Account In the Company/Organization field, please enter “Other” exactly as shown in the image below.



5. Once Registered

• An ELECTRI representative will call to confirm the appropriate ownership (admin privileges) of the account and ensure data integrity within 2 business days.
• You’ll receive an email confirming your access.
• After receiving the email, you can visit [https://www.electri.org/kpi-dashboard/] and access your:
• Dashboard
• Survey reports
• FAQ section

Construction Industry Alliance for Suicide Prevention

It is an unfortunate fact that construction has the highest rate of suicide of any industry in America. We lose about 53 out of every 100,000 members of our industry EVERY YEAR to suicide. We are four times the average of other industries. We have a crisis in construction and we need to do something about it. You can visit the Construction Industry Alliance for Suicide Prevention website and learn more. We urge all to take the pledge to STAND UP for suicide prevention and address it as a health and safety priority.
