Construction Corner
11th Avenue
ADA ramp installation and replacement along 11th Avenue has begun in preparation for next year’s mill and overlay project on 11th. Traffic will be detoured between Cruse and Montana avenues occasionally this summer due to the work.
Benefis Medical Building
A permit has been submitted for the Benefis Medical Building, which will be located at 1645 Vandelay Ave. The permit is for the concrete foundation, structural steel and site work. The project is currently under review.
Scandinavian Design Furniture
A building permit application has been submitted for interior remodel of the old Macy’s building located at 4305 N. Montana Ave. The project, which is currently under review, is for Scandinavian Design Furniture.
Opportunity Bank Administration Building
The foundation only permit for the new Opportunity Bank Administration Building has been issued. The Contractor can proceed with the concrete foundation work only for the building, which will be located at 1550 Vandelay Ave.

Water use increases in the City of Helena during the summer due to irrigation? As a result, the City has to use a second water treatment facility from May - October. Summer water treatment is less efficient and costs 5-6 times more.
