Snow Removal
Property Owner Responsibility
Every owner of property within the City of Helena
fronting on or abutting a paved or brick sidewalk in the public right-of-way must remove snow or ice from that sidewalk, any ADA curb ramps, bulb outs, and from driveway aprons that must be crossed for pedestrian travel.

If you wish to report a sidewalk snow and/or ice violation, please wait until the snow has stopped falling for 24 hours or until the countdown clock on the City website expires.
Winter Towing Policy
From Nov. 1, 2021 through April 15, 2022, recreational vehicles, such as campers, RV's, trailers, etc. are prohibited from being parked along any City street and may be towed at the owner's expense. The absence of these vehicles ensures open, accessible streets for emergency vehicles and traffic. During a forecast snow event of 2" or more, parking along emergency snow routes is also prohibited.
