Coming Up
Recharge & Restore Yoga
In these monthly classes you will experience subtle yoga to release tension and build up energy. End with a relaxing meditation to clear your mind. No prior experience with yoga needed. Yoga mats will be provided but feel free to bring your own. Feel free to arrive early or stay late to connect with other parents or just relax.
Ability Tools Workshop
Ability Tools is funded by the Department of Rehabilitation to help Californian’s gain access to Assistive Technology. During this presentation we will discuss:
  • How the Ability Tools program assists individuals with disabilities by providing information and a try it before you buy it loan program.
  • “Low-tech”, “mid-tech” and “high-tech” options for daily living.
  • The online database where you can go to find devices that you can “try before you buy”
  • Other programs and resources that are available to help people with disabilities

Parent Scholarships Available for Summer MIND Institute 2019
The WarmLine Family Resource Center is offering scholarships to cover the $125 registration fee for up to 10 parents/caregivers (one per family) to attend the UC Davis MIND Institute's "Summer Institute on Neurodevelopmental Disorders: Research to Practice" on Friday, August 2 in Davis. The deadline to apply for a scholarship is Sunday, June 30, 2019. Apply Now

Camp MIND
The Down Syndrome Information Alliance seeks volunteers for its annual iCan Shine Program scheduled for June 17-21, 2019 in Rocklin. Learn More
The UC Davis MIND Institute will host a series of day camps for children ages 6-12 who have a neurodevelopmental disorder starting June 24. Learn More
Sacramento Special Needs Support Group
Special needs support group every 2nd Saturday from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at The Root in Sacramento. This group is open to any parent or guardian of children, ages prenatal to 3 years, with disabilities and/or special healthcare needs. Come and discuss the joys, challenges and triumphs of raising a little one with a little extra pizzazz. Learn More

Love & Logic Class
WeEMBRACE is a nonprofit support organization for families with children and adults who have special needs which has several summer activities planned for June through August. Learn More
