NEWS & UPDATES
SGT. STEVE LANGEVIN
Many rumors are going on right now regarding potential protests. There are two (2) that we know of. One is today at 5:00 p.m. at Wells Recreation just off Blue Heron Blvd and just before the tracks. The second is on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the Riviera Beach City Hall. The one today is said to be peacefully walking over the Blue Heron bridge although we have no hard information on this.

Please know we are aware of the events and that the Sheriff’s office intelligence unit gathers information hourly and shares it with all law enforcement. Our Town/District 20 has many Sheriffs assets available to us which can and will be called if needed.

It would be a good idea, for traffic purposes, to stay away from these areas during those two (2) days at the times mentioned.

As always, we are here for you every day. Please call us if you see something that concerns you. Remember our non-emergency number is 561-688-3400, 561-844-3456, and for emergencies 911.

Thank you.

TOWN HALL CLOSURE
We are closing Town Hall at 3:30 p.m. today to allow Town Staff to depart the Island before there is traffic congestion related to the Demonstrations.
Sgt. Langevin, Chief Steedman, and I will remain on duty.  We suggest that you all plan to be off the roads during the hours of the demonstration.
