THE WEEKLY WOLF

🤝 BELONG | ⭐ ENGAGE | 🏆 SUCCEED

KEEP YOUR GOAL 🥅🎯IN SIGHT

By now, you’ve had a chance to settle into your classes and get a feel for what this semester is going to look like. Now is a great time to pause and ask yourself:

What am I working toward, and what do I need to do this week to get there?

College success doesn’t happen all at once. Big goals, such as earning your degree, transferring, starting a career, or simply making it through your first semester, can become much more manageable when you break them into smaller steps.

Setting a goal and taking consistent action toward it can help you stay focused, build confidence, and keep moving forward when the semester gets challenging.

  • Your week 3 task: Choose one goal you want to accomplish this semester and write down one thing you can do this week to move closer to it. Then do it. Small steps count—and they add up.

SENSORY DISABILITY AWARENESS 👂🧩🌈🧮💡

Not everyone experiences the sights, sounds, lights, and activity of campus in the same way. For students with sensory disabilities or sensory sensitivities, things like bright fluorescent lights, loud spaces, strong smells, crowded hallways, or unexpected noise can make it harder to focus, participate, or feel comfortable.

A little awareness can make a big difference. Be mindful of the noise you create, give people space when you can, and remember that someone who steps out of a busy room or uses a sensory aid isn’t being rude or disengaged...they may simply be taking care of what they need to be successful. Creating an inclusive campus starts with recognizing that everyone experiences the college environment differently.
