Saint Lucia at a Crossroads Now in Stores

I’m pleased to share that my 9th and latest book, Saint Lucia at a Crossroads, is now on Amazon and in St. Lucian stores.

Saint Lucia at a Crossroads contends that the controversial tenure of Allen Chastanet was a blessing in disguise, and a political jolt that forced St. Lucians to confront deep-seated insecurities and unresolved issues of national identity.

It delivers a provocative critique of Pierre's governance and a bold comparison of postcolonial administrations. In addition, the book argues that Allen Chastanet squandered his political opportunities, and it explicitly explains why the UWP lost the 2021 general elections and implicitly why it lost again in 2025.

His ninth book dissects governance, leadership, and policy decisions, inviting Saint Lucians to think deeply before heading to the ballot box.

On the surface, Magna is a son’s account of his mother’s life—but the memoir’s layers and emotions quickly expose it as so much more. As Reynolds recounts his mother’s childhood, adulthood, and decline in her later years, he also looks at the lasting impacts of colonialism and the transatlantic slave trade on the people of St. Lucia, where his mother was born. Themes of belonging, family, and identity are gently woven throughout, and Reynolds’s portrayal of not just his mother but also his own upbringing is both thoughtful and honest.
