The agency recognized Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April through a variety of events. Thank you for your ongoing support!
The Hunting Ground film screening and panel discussion at the Colonial Theatre on Wednesday, April 18. This event drew out 64 engaged community members that participated in the panel discussion.
The 23rd Annual Race Against Violence was held on Saturday, April 21, 2018. The event generated $15,865 in net revenue for the agency.
Last push for end of fiscal year donations
CVC's fiscal year ends on June 30, 2018 - help our agency end on a strong note with a donation to the "Help Give Victims Hope" campaign. See how your donation translates to helping CVC!

$25: Allows the purchase of materials for a child safety program.
$50: Allows a counselor to facilitate a teen self esteem group for a half hour.
$75: Allows hotline staffing for 12 hours.
$100: Allows one advocate to accompany a child to a sexual assault examination.

Grab lunch, dinner, or a drink at Landmark Americana: Tap & Grill in downtown West Chester (corner of Gay and Darlington Streets ) and 25% of your bill, including alcohol, will be donated back to CVC.

Stewards of Children : prevent child sexual abuse

The Stewards of Children program from Darkness to Light is facilitated by the Crime Victims' Center of Chester County, Inc., a nonprofit organization serving victims of crime and violence, in addition to providing Prevention/ Education outreach services across the County.

This is part of a three-year County wide program to educate 5% of the adult population on the prevention of child sexual abuse. FREE Workshops are held in person throughout the County, or at your convenience online. More details are below.
  • Learn how to minimize opportunities for child sexual abuse.
  • Have age-appropriate conversations about sex and boundaries.
  • Recognize red flags and react responsibly.
